DRS Material Recycling Rate Update
The Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) aims to achieve a recycling rate of 90% by its third year of implementation.
In order to understand the improvement this represents compared to current recycling performance, Zero Waste Scotland commissioned a study to calculate the latest recycling rates for different types of drinks containers.
The analysis makes use of the latest Waste Composition Analysis results, supplemented with additional information provided by local authorities and data from WasteDataFlow.
