Public Sector Food Waste

23 Mar 23

Zero Waste Scotland is working with the public sector to reduce food waste throughout its buildings and services.

This work will inform other organisations’ efforts and help to make unnecessary food waste unacceptable in Scotland.

Zero Waste Scotland provides support to Scotland’s public sector; developing experience and expertise to ensure that the next generation champions food waste reduction and the value of this organic resource. We also work with schools, communities, the NHS, and local authorities across Scotland.  The public sector is a leading light; positively influencing the private sector, wider society, and Scotland’s young people to make food waste reduction part of everyday life.
