Live webinar: Living circular – cross cutting measures, a focus on skills

Join us for our fifth interactive webinar session on the Scottish Government circular economy consultations which are currently open for responses until the 22 August 2022.

Location : Online,

Date : From 11/08/2022 - 13:00 to 14:00

There are two complementary consultations: proposals for a Circular Economy Bill and a Route Map to 2025 and beyond.

Both consultations outline key activities to move Scotland towards a more circular economy.  The Circular Economy Bill will establish the legislative framework to support Scotland’s transition to a zero waste and circular economy, significantly increase reuse and recycling rates, and modernise and improve waste and recycling services. The Route Map is specifically aimed at maximising progress towards our waste and recycling targets.

In this fifth session of the series, we will be specifically talking about cross-cutting measures, with a particular focus on skills, focusing on this particular package of the Route Map.

Joining us on the panel:

  • Jane Beasley – Policy Lead, Route Map, Zero Waste Scotland;
  • Mhairi Creanor – Capability Partner, Zero Waste Scotland
  • Linda Christie – Head of Green Skills and Climate Emergency, Skills Development Scotland
  • Professor Dave Reay – Professor of Carbon Management and Education, University of Edinburgh - (pre-recorded interview)
