Zero Waste Scotland offer 'Good to Go' take-away delivery boxes

With more food service operators focusing on take-away and delivered meals, we’re extending our ‘Good to Go’ scheme to offer free take-away boxes to all Scottish SMEs during the coronavirus pandemic.

We send our support to all those in the food and drink industry who are working hard to meet the needs to their customers, their staff and their businesses.

We appreciate that many restaurants are trying to keep up with an increased demand for food delivery.  With the industry adapting to changing circumstances as fast as possible, we’ve repurposed 32,000 ‘Good to Go’ single portion take-away boxes that we are giving away to Scottish SMEs offering a delivery service at this time.

If our resources would be of use to your organisation, we can send you a pack which include: 300 single portion take-away boxes*, 300 food safety labels and 150 paper bags. Packs will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We will deliver the pack to your restaurant free of charge.

To take advantage of this offer, please email our food waste reduction team at goodtogo@zerowastescotland.org.uk advising the below details:

  • Your name
  • Your company name
  • Your delivery address
  • A contact phone number

According to Food Standards Scotland, there is currently no evidence that food is a source of coronavirus (COVID-19) and it is very unlikely it can be transmitted through the consumption of food. There is however, a risk of transmission from infected food handlers. All food workers should ensure the necessary personal and environmental controls are in place to prevent the transmission of pathogens through food, food preparation surfaces or food packaging.
