Re-use and repair business development support

Business development support for small and medium sized businesses in collaborative re-use and repair projects.

Zero Waste Scotland has appointed Resource Futures, working in partnership with Community Resources Network Scotland (CRNS), to deliver a programme of business support to up to 5 collaborative re-use and repair projects in Scotland.

Collaboration would help develop economies of scale to enable the sector to benefit from larger quantities and varieties of products and could consist of:

  • providing re-use and repair services across a region or to a particular client,
  • large-scale district re-use and repair hubs,
  • shared facilities and operations including storage, repair, logistics and retail.

Zero Waste Scotland invites collaborative re-use and repair projects to apply for up to 30 days of business support, particularly those which are potentially:

  • of a sufficient scale to demonstrate and inspire others, or
  • new regional or national solutions in re-use & repair.

The closing date is midday on the 11th September and applications will be assessed by a panel consisting of Zero Waste Scotland, Resource Futures and CRNS.

Successful applications will be contacted by 28th September with a view to initiating support in October 2017.
