Short survey of public attitudes and behaviours in relation to litter and flytipping (2016)

We commissioned a selection of survey questions around public behaviour and attitudes in relation to litter and flytipping in 2016.

This survey was designed to inform our own programme development, and Scottish Government.  It has not been written up in a formal report, but the findings are made available here.

If you are interested in understanding litter and flytipping in Scotland, including public attitudes and behaviours, we would recommend the following reports as starting points:

Scotland’s Litter Problem: quantifying the scale and cost of litter and flytipping (2013)

Public perceptions and concerns around litter: qualitative insight research (2015)

Evidence Review of Flytipping Behaviour (2017)
