The Revolve Quality Support/Innovation Programme will provide grants of up to £10,000 to community-based reuse organisations currently engaged in the Revolve accreditation process to help them prepare to meet Level 1 or 2 of the Revolve quality framework.
The overall aim of the Revolve programme is to lead and develop a change in Scotland’s reuse organisations taking them from an informal network and transforming it into a world-class Accredited Reuse Network (Revolve). The Revolve Accredited Reuse Network will make it easier for the general public, businesses and the public sector to engage with and become more actively involved in reuse.
The Revolve Quality Support/Innovation Programme will provide grants of up to £10,000 to community-based reuse organisations currently engaged in the Revolve accreditation process to help them prepare to meet Level 1 or 2 of the Revolve quality framework. The programme will launch in October 2011 and operate on a rolling basis, with a final closing date for applications at 1.30 pm on Monday 19th December 2011 with all funding to be spent by 31st March 2012.
Eligible organisations
Due to the short turnaround time and the limited number of organisations participating in the network, organisations must already be engaged in the network to apply; they must meet the Revolve accredited reuse network eligibility criteria and have already submit an application to join the network prior to making an application to this grant funding.
Type of support
The Revolve Quality Support/Innovation Programme has a clearly defined focus and, as a result, will be prescriptive in nature. Organisations will be able to apply for support to prepare for Level 1 and Level 2 of the quality framework. Organisations will choose from a list of defined support options, although they will be able to select their own suppliers. They will be free to mix and match as many types of support as they need, as long as the total support requested by each organisation does not exceed £10,000.
Organisations actively working towards the Revolve quality standards will have access to limited training and support through the main Revolve programme. This additional support programme will give organisations the opportunity to access more in-depth support or to purchase certain resources.
There are three types of support where this programme could be most effective: training, external support and resources.
The Quality Support/Innovation Programme will not support salaries or wages or any other type of operating costs of the network member organisations that will directly impact on the organisation’s cash flow.
