Reverse Logistics & Incentivised Product Return: An Evidence Synthesis & Guide for Scottish Business.

Review of all relevant existing evidence on Reverse Logistics and Incentivised Product Returns to produce reference materials and guidance for producers, distributers and remanufacturers which will support the growth in the remanufacturing

The Scottish Government policy document, Safeguarding Scotland’s Resources, refers to a number of objectives around stimulating an increase in re-use, repair and remanufacture, within Scotland. 

In support of this, Zero Waste Scotland are interested in reviewing all relevant existing evidence on Reverse Logistics and Incentivised Product Returns to produce reference materials and guidance for producers, distributers and remanufacturers which will support the growth in the remanufacturing

The objective of this work is:

  • To synthesise the existing evidence base around reverse logistics and incentivised product return to produce reference and guidance materials for Scottish business.
  • To identify and highlight best practice and key operational considerations in implementing reverse logistics and incentivised product return systems effectively and demonstrate how these systems can be used to enhance existing business operations as part of the guidance materials.
