This is a young organisation with a dynamic agenda.  We are about to refresh their corporate vision to more clearly align our role and purpose within the wider Scottish public policy and enterprise support landscape, as well as seeking opportunities for growth.

The Board is now seeking fresh thinking to complement the skills and experience of the present Directors and to give guidance and support to the Executive. We are looking to appoint up to five people to non-executive roles.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates with a breadth of skills and experience and governance competencies, including but not limited to:

  • Finance and audit/ compliance;
  • Strategic organisational development/ HR;

In addition to the specific skills, we also welcome candidates with the following experience or knowledge:

  • Current or former Chief Executive, or other senior executive, of Local Authority or large public sector organisation;
  • Understanding of Scotland’s environmental policy landscape and priorities, including the circular economy, recycling, reuse and repair, and energy efficiency etc.
  • Background in one of the key priority sectors in Scottish Government’s circular economy strategy Making Things Last i.e. manufacturing, energy infrastructure, construction, food and drink.
