Low carbon heat

The Heat Network Partnership, is a collaboration of agencies in Scotland focused on the promotion and support of District Heating schemes in Scotland.

The Scottish Government’s Outline Vision for Heat is for a largely decarbonised heat sector by 2050, with significant progress by 2030. District heating has a key role to play and our District Heating Action Plan sets out how we are taking forward recommendations from the Expert Commission on District Heating. The Scottish Government supports district heating through its £5 million District Heating Loan Fund and renewable district heating is a key sector of the £50 million Warm Homes Fund and £103 million Renewable Energy Investment Fund.

The District Heating Scotland website offers experience, information and key contacts that will help boost the growth of district heating.
