Designing out construction waste launch event - Glasgow

Friday, March 3, 2017 - 09:00 to 13:30

Launch of a new online guide for designers and architects.

Friday 3 March 2017 9am - 1pm

Technology and Innovation Centre, 99 George Street, Glasgow, G1 1 RD

We have developed a new online guide on how material waste can be prevented through design in construction and refurbishment projects.  The guide explains and demonstrates how circular economy design ideas can be applied throughout the design and construction phases of any project.

Register for this free launch event and:

  • Hear about the rationale for the production of this guide and the process behind its development
  • View a demonstration of the guide and how it can be applied to live projects
  • Hear from Scottish organisations who have implemented the ideas within the guide and achieved significant waste savings
  • Take part in a Q&A session about the guide and its concepts
  • Join us for a free networking lunch

Who should attend?

This event and the new guide will be particularly valuable for anyone involved in the design phase, or with environmental responsibilities for any construction project, for instance:

  • Architects
  • Quantity surveyors
  • Structural engineers
  • Civil engineers
  • Project managers
  • Mechanical and electrical engineers
  • Facilities Management teams
  • Contractors and suppliers
