This free half day workshop for designers will provide hands on experience of WRAP’s Designing out Waste Tool for Buildings or Civil Engineering projects. The session will use information from a real world project to show how you can reduce waste and cost.
Aims
Delegates will gain a greater understanding of how to apply the theory of the Designing out Waste process on their own projects.
This session will demonstrate how to:
- forecast project waste arisings during RIBA stages B-D;
- identify and prioritise opportunities to design out waste;
- calculate the impact of design solutions on waste;
- record waste prevention actions in a site waste management plan; and
- implement design solutions.
Delegates will not be required to bring their own laptops. The session is limited to two people per organisation.
