Customer service standards

Scotland’s Resource Sector Commitment (SRSC) was launched in 2013 with the aim of raising standards across the Scottish resource management sector, and for Signatories to demonstrate support for Scotland’s zero waste ambitions.

This initial phase focuses on continuous improvement of Signatories’ customer service standards, to deliver high quality collections to businesses across Scotland in line with the Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2012.

Meeting the SRSC Customer Service Standards demonstrates that Signatories are committed to excellent customer service and are capable of helping their business customers to reduce waste and become more resource efficient.

Organisations who are successful in meeting the Customer Services Standards will then be eligible to apply to the second stage; SRSC Health & Safety Standards.
