“Recycling On The Go” Capital Support Fund (PAC004)

The Scottish Government has a commitment, through its Zero Waste Plan, to increase the provision of recycling facilities in public places.

To support this, Zero Waste Scotland has launched an infrastructure development fund for ‘recycling on the go’ facilities in Scotland.

To support this, Zero Waste Scotland has launched an infrastructure development fund for ‘recycling on the go’ facilities in Scotland. 

This will include provision of recycling facilities in the following locations:

  • On street sites (e.g. city centres, public parks, beaches)
  • Shopping centres
  • Transport hubs (e.g. airports, railway stations, motorway service stations)
  • Leisure attractions/venues (e.g. sporting arenas, theme parks, conference facilities)
  • Hospitals (public access areas only)

Grants will be available to fund eligible capital costs of installing new infrastructure and revenue costs for communications activities designed to support widespread and appropriate use of the facilities.

Up to £150,000 is available this financial year, and applications will be assessed on a rolling basis.
